Make sure you’re in an ideal location for your playstyle, then craft the Palbox where you would like to set up your base. Once crafted, you will see a blue perimeter signifying your base zone. You can then build anything else within this zone. While you won’t receive an error when building outside the zone, whatever is built out of the perimeter may not be protected by the Pals assigned at your base.

This is a Pal that can easily spawn in your starting area without even needing to go out of your way. You will most likely just encounter it whenever you are out at night. With this Pal in toe, it can act like a radar when you are out hunting any of the previously mentioned Pals. This will be even more useful when you are hunting rare Pals going into the later portions of the game — but is just as useful early on.

Keep track of your Pals well-being because even though they can take care of themselves for the most part, you will still need to help them if they have a depressed status , sick status, or have a decreased sanity which you will need to tend to. Make sure you have an equal number of Pal beds to the amount of Pals assigned to your base as it can effect their well-being as well. Their well-being can also be seen in the right corner of your screen under “base info”.

Comparatively, Scarlet and Violet is still a fun, classic Pokemon adventure, but it’s starting to show what happens when you don’t innovate an old formula enough. As a solo adventure, you’ll most likely enjoy Scarlet and Violet more, but for half the cost of buying a Pokemon game, you could get a fun coop adventure with similar exploration to Breath of the Wild and base-building that’s similar to Valhe

Palworld has many different biomes to explore as you make your way through the map. It has lush green forests, wide open clearings, sandy desert dunes, and even mountains to climb . However, two of these biomes are much more treacherous than the others — the blistering hot air of the volcanic area, and the frigid cold of the northernmost island. These locations will require players to protect themselves from their extreme temperatures. This guide explains how to do just that.

The ability to fly in the game is in a league of its own. Not only can you move over the map’s terrain, but you can cross over to islands and Wildlife Sanctuaries otherwise unobtainable. Nitewing is not the best flying mount, but it is the one you can get the earliest. This will really step up your game in exploration and add plenty of Fast Travel points to your map.

Whatever Pals you choose to work at the base will also defend the perimeter. If a threat occurs to your base, the Pals will become defensive and attack whatever threat is at the base. This means that you should not only take into consideration the work suitability skills each Pal has but also the power behind their attack, so you have good defensive measures .

The multiplayer of Palworld is just a much better experience than Scarlet and Violet. In Pokemon, you can hang out with three of your friends and catch Pokemon together, but since gyms and story missions can only be completed in single player, deciding who gets to keep which Pokemon becomes a concern when only a single rare Pokemon spawns. As a result, you’re encouraged to travel away from your friends when it comes to Pokemon hunting. This is made up for how fun Tera Raids can be with an organized group, but even that doesn’t feel like you’re sharing a journey with peo
